Fairmont Golden Prague
In the very heart of Prague, on the banks of the Vltava and at the entrance to the prestigious Pařížská Street, one of the most significant hotel projects of the last decade – the former iconic InterContinental, now the Fairmont Golden Prague – reopened its doors in 2025 following a four-year transformation. Following a sensitive restoration, this Brutalist landmark dating from 1974 has been brought back to life as the Fairmont chain’s first five-star hotel in Central Europe, proudly taking its place alongside its famous sister properties, such as London’s The Savoy and Switzerland’s Fairmont Le Montreux Palace. As a partner in the restoration of this architectural icon, we have infused our philosophy of meticulous craftsmanship into key areas of the hotel — from the grand event halls to the private zones where the deepest and most personal impressions of a stay are formed.
It is the bar and the adjoining Crystal Room foyer that form a breathtaking, elegant social entrance. This space, which serves as a prestigious backdrop for gatherings prior to gala dinners, cocktail receptions and significant events, is defined by a masterful composition of refined elements. The interior is not only perfectly harmonised visually, but its flawless execution confidently emphasises the highly prestigious character of these social areas.
The same attention to detail and absolute discretion are also evident in the C-Suites lounges. These exclusive meeting spaces, designed for business meetings, private events and strategic workshops, are amongst the most exceptional that the capital has to offer. Each lounge features its own kitchen, private bathroom and terrace, whilst seamlessly connecting to the tranquil mezzanine level of the Sky Box, which links the hotel and residential sections of the building and serves as a sophisticated lounge area. The lounges and the Sky Box are unified by veneered wall panelling, which frames the entire space as a single cohesive whole. Impeccable craftsmanship, with surfaces meticulously aligned, creates an environment where perfect continuity of form and finish becomes synonymous with harmony and prestige.
This atmosphere of uncompromising care culminates in the Fairmont Spa & Wellness and the hotel’s fitness centre. Here, we have worked with surfaces and elements that withstand demanding operational conditions without hesitation, whilst retaining the intimacy and sophistication of the most luxurious private residences. We have shaped the reception desk in the wellness area into a fluid, undulating curve — a form that quietly echoes the water’s surface of the mosaic wall behind it. The result is an environment designed for deep relaxation. The precise design and clean craftsmanship resonate fully with the philosophy of understated luxury, and their refinement enhances the sense of absolute tranquillity.
The Fairmont Golden Prague is restoring one of the capital’s most prized architectural icons. Our work on its interiors is a natural extension of our premium residential and hotel projects and clearly reaffirms the values of uncompromising quality upon which the HANÁK NÁBYTEK brand has built its reputation.
